NFL Week 1 Las Vegas Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The NFL Week 1 odds have been posted in Las Vegas and with that, let’s check out which lines are on the move.
According to oddsmakers from MGM Mirage, the Seahawks are 6-point home favorites versus the Packers in the season opener on Thursday night. The total for that game has also been bet up to 46.5 after opening at 45.
On Sunday in Atlanta, the Falcons have gone from a 1-point favorite in Vegas to a 3-point home underdog versus NFC South rivals the Saints. The total, surprisingly, has been bet down slightly from 52 to 51.5, although some books have kept the total at 52. Many pundits expect a shootout between the two teams.
One spread that has dropped a full two points is the line in the Minnesota-St. Louis game, which opened at Rams -6 and is now Vikings +4. This movement happened after the season-ending injury to Sam Bradford and might have to do with 81% of the public taking Minnesota and the points. (Sharps may also be on the Vikings, which would make sense given the heavy movement.)
One other side that has been on the move is the one in Kansas City, where the Chiefs have gone from a 6-point home favorite down to a 3.5-point home favorite versus the Titans. The Patriots have also gone from a 3.5-point favorite up to a 5-point favorite, while the Panthers have gone from a 2.5-point road favorite to a 2-point road underdog.
