2012 Pro Bowl Odds AFC vs. NFC
HONOLULU, HI (The Spread) – When the two teams battle in the 2012 Pro Bowl tonight at 7:00PM ET, the NFC will be favored over their AFC counterparts.
After opening as a 3.5-point favorite the NFC is now a 5-point fave over the AFC for tonight’s annual NFL all-star game. The over/under total opened at 72.5 but has been bet up to 74 as most bettors envision this contest being another high-scoring affair.
Last year’s Pro Bowl turned into a wild shootout as the NFC toppled the AFC 55-41. The spread ended up being a pick’em at kickoff while the combined score sailed over the total of 66.5. Philip Rivers and Matt Cassel threw two touchdown passes apiece for the AFC, while Matt Ryan threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns to lead the NFC.

Thanks to last year’s victory, the NFC now has a 21-20 edge in this all-time series. The NFC has won three of the last four Pro Bowls and is now 4-1 against the spread versus the AFC, while the over has hit in three of the last four all-star games.
Some of the stars for the game include Ray Rice, Mike Wallace, Ray Lewis, Troy Polamalu and Darrelle Revis for the AFC, while the NFC will consist of Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and rookie Cam Newton. Larry Fitzgerald and New Orleans’ tight end Jimmy Graham will also suit up for the NFC squad.
