Falcons vs. Chargers Week 3 Odds

SAN DIEGO, CA (The Spread) – Two 2-0 teams that hope to be Super Bowl contenders will meet in San Diego this Sunday when the Chargers host the Falcons at 4:05PM ET.

ATLANTA: The Falcons’ defense intercepted Peyton Manning three times in the first eight minutes of Atlanta’s 27-21 victory over Denver on Monday Night Football. While the offense never really got going, Matt Ryan did complete 24-of-36 passes for 219 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Roddy White also hauled in eight passes for 102 yards and one touchdown, while Tony Gonzalez finished with seven catches for 70 yards and a score. But the key for Atlanta was an ultra-aggressive defense, which forced four turnovers and sacked Manning three times. The win improved the Falcons’ record to 2-0 and they’re now 2-0 against the spread.

SAN DIEGO: The Chargers improved to 2-0 on the year with their 38-10 win over the Titans as a 6.5-point favorite last Sunday. Philip Rivers completed 24-of-32 passes for 284 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, although he was sacked four times on the day. Jackie Battle led the Bolts in rushing with 69 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns, while Malcolm Floyd hauled in a team-high six catches for 109 yards. San Diego improved to 2-0 on the year and has covered the spread in back-to-back weeks.
