Titans vs. Chargers Week 2 Odds

SAN DIEGO, CA (The Spread) – The Chargers have a golden opportunity to start the 2012 season at 2-0 if they can pick up a victory this Sunday against a Titans team that struggled in Week 1.

TENNESSEE: The Titans fell 34-13 to the Patriots as a 4.5-point home favorite last week, while the combined score fell under the posted total of 48. Jake Locker completed 23-of-32 passes with one touchdown and one interception before leaving the game with a shoulder injury. Chris Johnson was held to just four yards on 11 carries although he did record six catches for 47 yards. Tennessee’s defense was brutal, especially the run defense as New England rumbled for 162 yards.

SAN DIEGO: The Chargers beat the Raiders 22-14 as a 1-point road underdog last Monday night. The combined score of 36 fell well under of the posted total of 47.5 points. Philip Rivers completed 24-of-33 passes for 231 yards and one touchdown, while Malcolm Floyd hauled in four of his six targets for 66 yards and a touchdown. San Diego’s defense allowed Carson Palmer to throw for 297 yards and a touchdown, but held Darren McFadden to 32 yards on 15 carries. The Bolts were also helped by the Raiders’ special teams, which mucked up three punt attempts.
