Jets vs. Steelers Week 2 Odds

PITTSBURGH, PA (The Spread) – After losing their season opener last week the Steelers will look to bounce back this Sunday when they host the 1-0 Jets at 4:25PM ET.

NEW YORK: After scoring just one touchdown in preseason, the Jets shocked the masses by racking up 48 points on the Bills last Sunday, although one touchdown apiece was scored by the defense and special teams. Mark Sanchez threw for 266 yards, Shonn Greene rushed for 94 yards and rookie receiver Stephen Hill racked up 89 yards. The Jets covered easily as a 3-point home favorite and the combined score soared over the posted total of 39.5. The only negative in the entire game was that cornerback Darrelle Revis suffered a concussion and won’t play on Sunday.

PITTSBURGH: The Steelers will look to bounce back in Week 2 after losing 31-19 as a 2.5-point underdog in Week 1 to the Broncos. The combined score went over the posted total of 45.5 points as Ben Roethlisberger threw for 245 yards and Antonio Brown racked up 74 receiving yards. Pittsburgh couldn’t get its running game going and eventually Peyton Manning struck for a big play to wideout Demaryius Thomas, who scored on a 71-yard pass mid-way through the third quarter. It was the second time the Steelers lost in Denver since last year’s playoffs when Tim Tebow and the Broncos shocked Pittsburgh in the Wild Card round.
