Lions wideout Calvin Johnson is a 7/2 favorite to lead the NFL in receiving yards this season while Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald has 15/2 odds. Andre Johnson is 10/1 to lead the league in receiving yards while the Falcons’ Julio Jones and the Giants’ Victor Cruz are both 12/1, respectively.
Johnson led the league in receiving yards last season with 1,681, while the Patriots’ Wes Welker finished with 1,569 yards and Cruz finished with 1,536 yards. Fitzgerald was fourth with 1,411 yards, the Panthers’ Steve Smith rounded out the top 5 with 1,394 yards and tight ends Rob Gronkowski (1,327) was sixth and Jimmy Graham (1,310) was seventh in receiving yards.
Continuing with the odds, the Giants’ Hakeem Nicks is 14/1 to lead the NFL in receiving yards while A.J. Green, Brandon Marshall and Roddy White are all 15/1, respectively. Graham has 16/1 odds, as does Mike Wallace, who is currently in a contract dispute with the Steelers. Gronkowski and Welker, meanwhile, are both 18/1 to lead the league in receiving yards, respectively.
Some of the long shots include Greg Jennings (20/1), Jordy Nelson (20/1), Steve Smith (20/1), Demaryius Thomas (25/1) and Vincent Jackson (25/1). Dez Bryant, Eric Decker, Marques Colston and Miles Austin are all 30/1 to lead the league in receiving, while DeSean Jackson is 35/1 and both Randy Moss and Terrell Owens are 100/1, respectively.
