NFL 2012 Passing Yards Odds
(The Spread) – Will New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees lead the league in passing again this season? Let’s check out the odds.
Oddsmakers have installed Brees as a 9/2 favorite to lead the NFL in passing yards again this season. Tom Brady is second at 19/4 odds, Aaron Rodgers is 11/2 and Matthew Stafford is 13/2. Both Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers, meanwhile, are 10/1 to lead the NFL in passing yards, respectively.
Continuing with the odds, Eli Manning is 12/1 while Ben Roethlisberger and Tony Romo are both 18/1 to lead the NFL in passing yards in 2012, respectively. Jay Cutler, Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub are 20/1, respectively, while Cam Newton and Carson Palmer are 25/1, respectively.
Getting into some of the long shots, Andrew Luck and Michael Vick are 30/1, respectively, to lead the league in passing yards this season, while Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco are 40/1, respectively. Josh Freeman and Robert Griffin III are 50/1, respectively, and Matt Cassel and Sam Bradford are 66/1 to lead the NFL in passing yards, respectively.
Brees led the league last year with 5,476 yards while Brady was second with 5,235. Stafford was third with 5,038 yards and Eli Manning was fourth with 4,933 yards. Rodgers rounds out the top 5 at 4,643 yards, while Rivers threw for 4,624 yards. Rivers did led the league in passing yards in 2010, however, when he edged Peyton Manning by 10 yards (4,710 to 4,700 yards).
