Super Bowl XLV Las Vegas Odds
ARLINGTON, TX (TheSpread) – Las Vegas has released its odds for Super Bowl XLV and here is a closer look at what the betting capital thinks of this year’s NFL Championship game.

According to the MGM Mirage the Green Bay Packers are a 2.5-point favorite in the Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 45.5 points.
The point spread is somewhat surprising given the fact that the Packers are the No. 6 seed in the NFC and Pittsburgh is the No. 2 seed out of the AFC. Many felt the NFC didn’t have the same talent as the AFC during the regular season, but now finds itself as the favorite in the big game with its lowest playoff seed.
Green Bay won three road games in the playoffs to reach the Super Bowl, winning each game by at least five points and scoring a total of 90 points over the three games while the Steelers won two games at home to reach Super Sunday. Pittsburgh also won each game by at least five points, and total 55 points over two games.
These two teams haven’t met since Dec. 20 of 2009 where Pittsburgh squeaked out a 37-36 win over the Packers at home. The Steelers were a 3-point favorite heading into the contest.
