Ravens vs. Steelers Line Movement

PITTSBURGH, PA (TheSpread) – There isn’t much debate that Pittsburgh and Baltimore are two teams very close in talent. Here is a look at how oddsmakers have viewed the point spreads and totals for this playoff game.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have given the Steelers odds of -3.5 against the Ravens on Saturday. The over/under total has been set at 37 points. (View Matchup)

Opening odds had Pittsburgh favored by 3 points and the spread held strong most of the week. It was only until late in the week that the hook was added, making the line Pittsburgh -3.5. In most cases home teams are given a 3-point edge prior to breaking down the matchup, so the 3.5-point spread really shows that oddsmakers believe these two teams are evenly matched.

For the over/under, the opening odds were 36.5 points. Surprisingly the point total moved up to 37 points late in the week despite this game being a showcase of two stingy and physical defenses. For the season, the two teams combined to give up just over 31 points per game.
