2011 NFL Week 9 on FOX: Seahawks vs. Cowboys Odds, Spread & Trends

Seahawks vs. Cowboys Week 9 Odds

(The Spread) – Looking to erase the bad taste out of their mouths from last week, the Cowboys will host the lowly Seahawks this Sunday at 1:00PM ET.

SEATTLE: Coach Pete Carroll made some odd decisions last Sunday in the Seahawks’ 34-12 loss to the Bengals, namely not starting Tarvaris Jackson after he was announced as the starter in pre-game. Charlie Whitehurst started instead and failed to move Seattle’s offense for the second straight week. The loss dropped the Seahawks’ record to 2-5 on the year and 3-3-1 against the spread. Now they’ll travel to Dallas to play a Cowboys team that’ll certainly be a little testy after losing to the Eagles last Sunday.

DALLAS: As mentioned above, the ‘Boys were routed 34-7 by the Eagles last Sunday night. It was an embarrassing display for a team that continues its Jekyll and Hyde ways. The loss dropped Tony Romo and Dallas’ record to 3-4 on the year and 3-3-1 against the spread. That said, hopefully the Cowboys will get healthy again this Sunday when they take on a Seattle team that has been a disaster on the road outside of its shocking victory over the Giants two weeks ago.

TRENDS: The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings between these two teams while the Seahawks are 0-5 against the spread in their last five games against the Cowboys. Dallas, meanwhile, is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five games versus the NFC and 2-9-1 ATS in its last 12 games as a favorite.
