Lions vs. Broncos NFL Week 8 Odds
(The Spread) – Following two straight losses, the Lions look to regroup when they travel to Denver on Sunday.
DETROIT: The Lions’ 5-0 start has suddenly been marred by a two-game losing streak, with both losses coming at home. In their latest loss, Matthew Stafford and the offense looked inept against a Falcons defense that is improving, but that had also been abused on third down until last Sunday. The 23-16 loss to Atlanta dropped Detroit’s record to 5-2 on the year and its ATS record to 4-2-1.
DENVER: If it weren’t for the Jaguars’ massive upset on Monday night against the Ravens, the Broncos would have won the Week 7 award for “Most Improbable Win.” Chasing 15 points with just under five minutes remaining in the game, Tim Tebow and the Broncos mounted a fantastic comeback over the Dolphins, 18-15 in overtime. Tebow wasn’t good for nearly 55 minutes, but he accounted for two Denver touchdowns and has seemingly breathed new life into the organization. That said, the Broncos still sit in last place in the AFC West at 2-4 and have covered the spread in just two of its six games thus far.

ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the visiting Lions as 3-point favorites over the Broncos, while the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 41.5 points. Detroit enters the game with a 3-0 road record while Denver is just 1-2 at home.
TRENDS: The Broncos are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games in October and 0-4 ATS in their last four games in Week 8. The Lions are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five road games and 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall. Detroit, however, is also 0-8-1 ATS in its last nine games as a road favorite.
