Dolphins vs. Giaints NFL Week 8 Odds
(The Spread) – The winless Dolphins head to East Rutherford this Sunday to take on the 4-2 Giants at 1:00PM ET.
MIAMI: For 56-plus minutes last Sunday, it looked like the Dolphins were going to notch their first victory of 2011. Then they collapsed as the Broncos scored 18 unanswered points and beat the now-winless Dolphins in overtime. That dropped Miami’s record to 0-6 and its ATS record to 0-5-1. Brandon Marshall has 483 receiving yards on the year while rookie Daniel Thomas has 302 yards and Reggie Bush has one touchdown.
NEW YORK: The Giants are coming off their bye after beating the Bills 27-24 in Week 6. That improved New York’s record to 4-2 on the year and 3-2-1 against the spread. With the Cowboys and Eagles playing on Sunday night, the Giants have an opportunity to take a two or three-game lead over those NFC East rivals with a victory over the Dolphins. Eli Manning has 1,778 passing yards on the year while Ahmad Bradshaw has rushed for 390 yards and six touchdowns.
ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Giants 10-point favorites over the Dolphins in Week 8, while the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 43 points. Miami is 0-3 on the road this season while New York is 2-1 at home.
TRENDS: The Dolphins are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four road games and 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog. The Giants, meanwhile, are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall but 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight home games. New York is also 4-10-1 ATS in its last 15 games as a home favorite.
