2011 NFL Week 8 on CBS: Bengals vs. Seahawks Odds & Spread

Bengals vs. Seahawks Week 8 Odds

(The Spread) – The Bengals have a golden opportunity to reach five wins if they can win in Seattle on Sunday.

CINCINNATI: The surprising Bengals have not only gotten by without quarterback Carson Palmer and receiver Chad Ochocinco: They’ve thrived without them. Rookie signal caller Andy Dalton has held his own in his first year while fellow first-year player A.J. Green is averaging nearly a touchdown per week. Cincy’s defense is playing extremely well too, as the team is currently on a three-game winning streak. The Bengals sit at 4-2 and 5-1 against the number this season.

SEATTLE: Outside of their win against the Giants in New York and their near-win against the Falcons at home, the Seahawks have largely been the disaster everyone thought they’d be. Their 6-3 loss to the Browns last week was pathetic from an offensive point of view as the Hawks continue to have issues at quarterback. The loss to Cleveland dropped Seattle’s record to 2-4, although the Hawks are 3-2-1 against the spread.

ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the visiting Bengals as 3-point favorites but the line has since dropped to 1.5. Cincinnati comes into this game with a 2-1 road record while Seattle is 1-1 at home. The over/under total is currently sitting at 37.5 points.

TRENDS: The Bengals are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 8-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Seahawks are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games, 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall but 1-5 ATS in their last six games in Week 8.
