2011 NFL Week 6 Point Spreads: Bengals vs. Colts on CBS

Colts vs. Bengals Odds

(The Spread) – The Bengals are quietly having a very good season and have a golden opportunity to pick up another win this Sunday.

Cincinnati is currently listed as a 7-point home favorite against the struggling Indianapolis Colts at 1:00PM ET on Sunday. The Bengals come into the game with a 3-2 record and have covered the spread in every game but one (a home loss to the 49ers when they were 1.5-point favorites). The over has also hit in four of their five games this season.

The Colts, meanwhile, are winless at 0-5 and have failed to cover the spread in three of their first five games this season. After covering in back-to-back games against the Steelers and Buccaneers, the Colts squandered a lead against the Chiefs last week in a 28-24 defeat. The over has covered in four of their five games this season.

This will be a good test for the Bengals, who easily could get to 4-2 with a strong effort on Sunday. It’ll be interesting to see if Andy Dalton and company can cover perhaps the biggest spread they’ll see all season. Cincinnati’s defense will certainly be up for the challenge but will the Bengals cover a full touchdown spread?

According to latest NFL trends, the favorite is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these two teams while the Colts are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Bengals. Of course, those games also came with Peyton Manning at quarterback. Manning isn’t expected to return this season after having a couple of neck surgeries in the offseason.
