2011 NFL Week 6 on CBS: Texans vs. Ravens Point Spreads & odds

Texans vs. Ravens NFL Week 6 Odds

(The Spread) – AFC opponents clash in Baltimore on Sunday when the Ravens host the Texans at 4:05PM ET.

HOUSTON: One week after the Texans lost their best offensive player to a hamstring injury, they lost their best defender last Sunday to a torn pectoral. Andre Johnson and Mario Williams (who is now out of the season) will both miss this weekend’s game against the Ravens as the Texans look to bounce back from their 25-20 loss to the Raiders in Week 5. Houston is now 3-2 overall and 3-2 against the spread.

BALTIMORE: Normally teams look forward to their bye week but in the case of John Harbaugh’s Ravens, they may have viewed it as a momentum killer. After suffering an embarrassing loss to the Titans in Week 2, the Ravens responded with a 37-7 win over the Rams in Week 3 and a 34-17 victory over the Jets in Week 4. They’re now 3-1 on the year and 3-1 against the spread with their lone non-covering coming in that same Week 2 loss to the Titans.

ODDS & LINE MOVEMENT: The Ravens opened as a 5.5-point favorite at the Las Vegas Hilton but the spread has steadily climbed since then thanks in large part to Houston’s injury concerns. The over/under total is sitting anywhere between 44.5 and 45 at most sports books.

TRENDS: According to latest NFL trends, the road team is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams, while the Texans are just 1-4 ATS in their last five road games overall. Houston is also 1-5 ATS in its last six games in Week 6 and 0-4 ATS in its last four games as an underdog. Meanwhile, the Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a favorite.
