NFL Week 3 Point Spreads
(The Spread) – Several divisional matchups highlight the Week 3 schedule in the NFL, including a big tilt in the AFC East.
Who would have thought that the Patriots and Bills would both be 2-0 when they met in Week 3? But they are, and their game on Sunday has the makings of a shootout as both offenses have rolled thus far. Oddsmakers have installed the Bills as 9-point home underdogs, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 51.5 points.
If you’re looking for a great divisional matchup, it gets no better than Packers-Bears in Chicago this Sunday. Green Bay was almost caught looking ahead as it escaped with a win last Sunday against the Panthers, while the Bears were waxed in New Orleans in Week 2. Aaron Rodgers and the defending Super Bowl champs have opened as a 3.5-point favorite, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 45.5 points.
In the NFC South, the 1-1 Bucs will host the 1-1 Falcons at 4:15PM ET on Sunday. After narrowly beating the Eagles on Sunday Night Football, Atlanta finds itself listed as a 1-point road favorite versus Tampa Bay. The Falcons beat the Bucs twice last year but both games came down to the final possession.
In what should be a great non-divisional matchup, the Texans will travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints this weekend. After crushing the Bears in Week 2, oddsmakers have made the Saints a 4-point opening favorite versus the Texans in Week 3. The over/under total is currently sitting at 53.
The Sunday night game figures to be a dud without Peyton Manning, as the Colts will host the Steelers at 8:20PM ET. Indianapolis has really struggled offensively with Kerry Collins at the controls, while Pittsburgh bounced back last week against Seattle following a brutal Week 1 performance in Baltimore. The Steelers are 10.5-point road favorites in Indy this Sunday night.
