NFL Week 2 Updated Odds
(The Spread) – How have the odds shifted since they opened earlier this week? Check updated point spreads for Week 2 in the NFL.
When the opening odds were released on Monday morning, the Detroit Lions were a 9.5-point favorite over the Kansas City Chiefs for Sunday’s 1:00PM ET kickoff. But those odds have dropped in KC’s favor, as the Lions are now –7.5 according to online oddsmakers.
After opening as a 10-point favorite, the Jets’ odds against the Jaguars have dropped as well. Clearly bettors don’t have a ton of faith in Mark Sanchez and the Jets’ offense getting out to a sizeable lead because the odds have dropped to New York –8.5.

The Patriots opened as 6.5-point favorites over the Chargers but the odds have gone up even more and now New England is a touchdown favorite over visiting San Diego. According to latest NFL trends, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in New England, while the underdog is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these two squads.
In the big Sunday Night Football matchup, the Eagles are now 2.5-point road favorites against the Falcons after opening as 1.5-point favs earlier this week. Michael Vick will make his second trip to Atlanta as a member of the Eagles, although this time he’ll be starting for Philly. (Donovan McNabb was still the Eagles starter when they traveled to Atlanta in 2009.)
