Chiefs vs. Lions Odds
DETROIT, MI (The Spread) β The Detroit Lions are looking to prove they are for real on Sunday when they host the Kansas City Chiefs at 1PM ET on CBS.
The Lions are 1-0 on the season while Kansas City is 0-1. The Lions also covered the spread in their win while the Chiefs failed to cover the odds in their loss. Both team hit the over in their lone contest. Detroit won the last meeting between these two teams, but that ended a four-game losing streak to the Chiefs.

Detroit defeated Tampa Bay 27-20 for their fifth straight regular season win. The Lions had 431 yards of offense in the win while holding Tampa Bay to just 56 rushing yards. Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns in his first game back from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for most of last season.
Kansas City suffered an embarrassing 41-7 loss at home to Buffalo in its season opener. The Chiefs struggled from the start and totaled just 213 yards of offense with three turnovers while giving up 364 yards to Buffalo. After leading the NFL in rushing last season, Kansas City had 108 yards on the ground in the loss. Jamaal Charles was held to 56 yards rushing on 10 carries with one fumble.
In terms of Injuries, Kansas City receiver Jonathan Baldwin is doubtful with a wrist injury while tackle Jared Gaither is questionable because of a knee injury. Detroit defensive tackle Nick Fairley and cornerback Alphonso Smith are both questionable with foot injuries.
