Raiders vs. Chiefs Week 16 Odds
KANSAS CITY, MO (The Spread) – AFC West rivals who still have playoff aspirations will battle this weekend in KC when the Chiefs host the Raiders on Saturday.
OAKLAND: The Raiders snatched defeat out of the hands of victory last Sunday when they squandered a late lead against the Lions, who beat Oakland, 28-27. Carson Palmer threw for 367 yards and a touchdown but his incomplete pass to a wide-open Chaz Schillens late in the fourth quarter could have sealed a win for Oakland. Instead, the Raiders dropped their third straight and are now 7-7 on the year. Thanks to New England’s win over Denver the Raiders are still only one game behind the Broncos in the division but with just two weeks remaining, Oakland is running out of time.
KANSAS CITY: There were a couple of big upsets in Week 15 but none bigger than Kansas City’s shocking 19-14 victory over Green Bay. Romeo Crennel’s defense held Aaron Rodgers to just 235 passing yards, which is amazing considering Rodgers essentially wrapped up the MVP award weeks ago. The Chiefs also played keep-away from Green Bay’s usually explosive offense, winning the time of possession battle 36:11 to 23:49. The victory improved Kansas City’s record 6-8 overall and its ATS record to 8-6.

TRENDS: The Raiders are 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games against the Chiefs while the underdog is 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall between these two teams. The road team is also 20-5-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings between these two teams while the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings and 5-1 in the last six games in Kansas City.
