NFL Week 13 Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The opening odds for Week 13 in the NFL are out. Check out the lines for the Packers-Giants game and much more.
Once again the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers will battle in a huge AFC North rematch of just a few weeks ago. The Steelers beat the Bengals 24-17 in Cincinnati and have opened as a 7-point home favorite this week. Both teams are coming off narrow victories, as the Bengals had to come from behind to beat the Browns in Week 12 while the Steelers hung on for a hard-fought 13-9 victory in Kansas City.
The game of the week might be in New York where the Giants will host the Green Bay Packers at 4:15PM ET. The Packers beat the Lions on Thanksgiving Day to improve their record to 11-0, which is a franchise record for Green Bay. That said, some believe that this game against the Giants will be the Packers’ biggest challenge from here on out. Oddsmakers have installed Green Bay as a 6-point opening favorite.
The Sunday night game should be intriguing, as the New Orleans Saints will host the Detroit Lions at 8:20PM ET on Sunday night. The Lions could be without defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who is waiting to hear if he’ll be suspended after he stomped on Green Bay offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith during Detroit’s 27-15 loss to the Packers on Thanksgiving Day. The Saints have opened as 7.5-point home favorites for this contest.
One spread of note is the one between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots. The Colts, who are winless, are 21-point road underdogs against the Patriots in New England. The line is incredibly high, although the Patriots just covered a 17-point spread last Monday night against the Chiefs.
