2011 NFL Week 10: Steelers vs. Bengals Point Spread & Odds

Steelers vs. Bengals Week 10 Odds

CINCINNATI, OH (The Spread) – In what has turned out to be a vital matchup in the AFC North, the Bengals will host the Steelers at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.

PITTSBURGH: The Steelers held a 4-point lead and had 92 yards to defend last Sunday night against the Ravens and couldn’t do it. Baltimore scored a touchdown with less than 10 seconds remaining, which gave the Ravens a 23-20 victory and a sweep of Pittsburgh in 2011. The Steelers are still in good shape, however, sitting at 6-3 in an ultra-tough AFC North. That said, their loss last week to Baltimore has dropped their ATS record to 4-5 on the year, which includes a 1-3 mark on the road. Ben Roethlisberger leads the team with 2,632 passing yards while Mike Wallace has a team-high six touchdowns.

CINCINNATI: It’s time to find out whether or not the Bengals are for real. Thanks to a stingy defense and excellent special teams play, Cincinnati has raced out to a 6-2 overall record and a 7-1 mark against the spread. Rookie Andy Dalton (1,696 yards) continues to play well in his first year and A.J. Green (599 yards, 5 TDs) has been outstanding has his top target. But Cincinnati’s victories this season have come against Cleveland, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Seattle and Tennessee. While the Bills have played very well up to this point, that’s not exactly a powerhouse lineup of opponents the Bengals have played thus far. Again, it’s time to find out what the Bengals are made of over these next couple of weeks.

TRENDS: The Steelers are 8-1-1 against the spread in their last 10 games versus the Bengals in Cincinnati and 7-2 against the number in the last nine meetings between these two teams overall. The favorite is also 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings while the road team is 13-5-1 ATS in the last 19 overall meetings.
