2011 NFL Sunday Night Football Week 7: Colts vs. Saints Odds & Spread

Colts vs. Saints NFL Week 7 Odds

(The Spread) – The Saints look to bounce back from their second defeat of the year when they host the Colts tonight on Sunday Night Football.

INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts dropped their sixth straight game of the year last Sunday on the road against the Bengals and thanks to a late fumble-turned-touchdown, they didn’t cover either. That drops Indy’s record to 0-6 and 2-4 against the spread, which includes two-straight non-covers. Pierre Garcon leads the team with 472 passing yards and four touchdowns, while Curtis Painter has thrown for 806 yards.

NEW ORLEANS: The Saints lost for only the second time all season last Sunday in Tampa. The Bucs held New Orleans’ high-powered offense to just 20 points in a 26-20 victory. That dropped the Saints’ record to 4-2 overall and 3-3 against the spread, which includes a 1-3 mark on the road. But they’re 2-0 against the number at home and you can probably expect a better effort from Drew Brees and Co. this Sunday.

ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Saints as 14-point favorites over the Colts, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 48.5 points. With the way Indy has played the past two Sundays, it’s no surprise that over 60% of NFL public bettors favor New Orleans minus the two touchdowns.

TRENDS: The favorite is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams while the Colts are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in Week 7. The Saints are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games but 1-4 ATS in their last five games in Week 7. New Orleans is also just 2-10 ATS in its last 12 games versus a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in its last six games as a home favorite of 10.5 points or greater.
