Giants vs. Jets Odds

NEW YORK (The Spread) – The battle of New York takes place on Saturday as the New York Jets host the New York Giants at 1PM ET on FOX.

GIANTS: The Giants are coming off a 23-10 loss to the Redskins last week to fall to 7-7 on the season. New York is one game behind Dallas in the NFC East race and two games back in the wild card race. New York has now lost five of their last six and they are 4-3 in road games and 6-7-1 against the spread on the season while hitting the over in 8 of 14 games. The G-Men are averaging 23.9 points and 385.1 yards per game this year, mostly due to Eli Manning, who has thrown for 4,362 yards and 25 TD’s with 15 INT’s this season. The Giants are struggling defensively, as they are giving up 26.6 points and 385.1 yards per game this season. One thing the Giants can do is rush the passer, as they have 37 sacks on the year.

JETS: The Jets are 8-6 on the season following a 45-19 loss to Philadelphia last week. New York is in the final playoff spot in the AFC right now. They are 6-1 at home this season and 6-8 against the spread. New York has hit the over in 10 of 14 games on the year. The Jets are scoring 24.7 points per game but average just 306 total yards per contest. New York has tried to be a ball control offense behind Shonn Greene, who has rushed for 941 yards and six TD’s this season, but New York isn’t getting enough production in the run or the pass. On defense, the Jets are giving up 22.5 points and 317.9 yards per game.
