2011 NFL Draft Prop Wagers
(The Spread) – The 2011 NFL Draft is tonight and oddsmakers have released prop odds for this weekend’s action, including some somewhat unusual wagers.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have entire section dedicated to prop wagers for this year’s NFL Draft. The first round takes place tonight at 8:00PM ET, while the second and third rounds are on Friday at 6:00PM ET, and rounds 4-7 are on Saturday starting at 12:00PM ET.
For the draft prop, “Who will be Mr. Irrelevant,” an offensive player is –120 on the money line, as is a defensive player. A kicker would constitute an offensive player, while a punter would fall under the defensive player category. Mr. Irrelevant is always the last player taken in the entire draft every year.
The over/under on how many quarterbacks will be taken in Round 1 is set at 3.5, although the over is –170 and the under 3.5 is +135 juice. Cam Newton and Blaine Gabbert are expected to go in Round 1, but there’s a chance that Jake Locker, Ryan Mallett, Christian Ponder and even Andy Dalton could find their way into the first round.
The over/under on running backs going in Round 1 is 0.5, with the over being –350 in juice and the under being +225. Alabama’s Mark Ingram should go somewhere in the first, although there are concerns about his knee and thus, there’s a possibility he could fall into the second.
The over/under on receivers and tight ends going in Round 1 is 2.5, while the O/U on offensive linemen is 6.5. The O/U on defensive tackles is 4.5, while the O/U on defensive ends is 7.5. All of this over/unders are in relation to the first round.
In terms of individual props, Cam Newton has an over/under draft pick position of 1.5, with the over being +250 and the under being –400. Blaine Gabbert has a draft pick position of 4.5, with the over being –200 and the under being 4.5. Thus, if he were to be picked at No. 4 by Cincinnati, the under would be paid. The other quarterback listed on these props is Jake Locker, who has a draft pick position of O/U 23.5.
Georgia receiver A.J. Green, who is expected to go somewhere in the top 10, has a draft pick position of over/under 4.5, while Alabama wideout Julio Jones has a draft pick position of 9.5. Jones is going as high as Cincinnati at No. 4 in some mocks.
For the total number of players drafted from a certain conference, the SEC has an O/U of 8, while the ACC has an O/U of 5. The Big 12 is set at O/U 7, while the Big Ten is 5.5 and the PAC 10 is O/U 3.5.
Study up on your mock drafts and see if you can’t nail some of these props! While the juice can be high on some prop wagers, you can find some values if you look hard enough.
