GREEN BAY, WI (The Spread) – The Green Bay Packers can lock up the top seed in the NFC playoffs on Christmas night as they host the Chicago Bears at 8:20PM ET on NBC.

GREEN BAY: The Packers are coming off a 19-14 loss to Kansas City last week, which was the first loss of the season for the now 13-1 Packers. Green Bay can still lock up the top seed in the NFC playoffs with a win on Sunday night. Green Bay is 6-0 at home on the year and 9-5 against the spread while hitting the over in 9 of their 14 games. Green Bay leads the NFL in scoring at 34.3 points per game. Aaron Rodgers is having a MVP-type year with 4,360 yards and 40 TD’s with only 6 INT’s. He is also completed 68 percent of his passes. Defensively, Green Bay is giving up 21.2 points and just under 400 yards per game, but they lead the league with 27 INT’s.

CHICAGO: Chicago is coming off a 38-14 loss to Seattle last week. The Bears have now lost four straight games to fall to 7-7 on the season. They still have an outside shot at the playoffs if they win out and the Atlanta Falcons lose their final two games. Chicago is 2-4 on the road this year and 7-7 against the spread while hitting the over in 8 of 14 games. The big issue with Chicago is the injury issues facing quarterback Jay Cutler, who is out with a thumb injury, and running backs Matt Forte and Marion Barber, who are both out with leg injuries. Chicago has posted just 47 points over the last four games and 27 over the last three. The Bears are scoring just 22.5 points per game while averaging 123.1 yards per game on the ground. Khalil Bell will have to handle the rushing in this game. He has 162 yards on 39 carries over five games of limited action. On defense, Chicago is holding opponents to just 20.9 points per game. They have 17 INT’s and 30 sacks on the season.
