Colts vs. Ravens Week 14 Odds
BALTIMORE, MD (The Spread) – With only a head-to-head tiebreaker separating the Ravens and Steelers atop the AFC North standings, Baltimore can’t afford to take winless Indianapolis lightly.
INDIANAPOLIS: Well, at least the Colts covered last week. That’s about the only positive thing you can say about Indy’s season to this point, which has been absolutely dreadful overall. The Colts are currently sitting in last place in the AFC South with a record of 0-12 as they’ve failed to cover in nine of their 12 games this season. But while they didn’t beat the Patriots last Sunday, they covered as a 20.5-point favorite so again, at least that’s something for Jim Caldewell’s team to build off of. Dan Orlovsky started over the ineffective Curtis Painter and completed 30-of-37 passes for 353 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw an interception but it’s hard to complain about his effort if you’re the Colts.
BALTIMORE: Their loss to the Seahawks must have woken the Ravens up because since that November 11 defeat, they’re a perfect 3-0. Their latest victory came against the Browns last Sunday in which they defeated Cleveland 24-10 as a 7-point favorite. The Ravens have now covered the spread in their last two games, while they pushed as a 7-point favorite against the Bengals three weeks ago. Baltimore is now 9-3 on the year but as previously mentioned, Pittsburgh is also 9-3 so the Ravens can’t let Sunday’s opportunity to slip through their fingers. They should beat the Colts, but crazier things have happened in the NFL so Baltimore must keep its eye on the prize.
ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Ravens as 16.5-point favorites over the Coltfor Sunday’s game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 41 points. Indianapolis enters the game with a 0-12 overall record and is 0-6 on the road this year while Baltimore is 9-3 overall and 6-0 at home.
TRENDS: The Colts are 7-0 against the spread in their last seven games against the Ravens and 4-0 ATS in their last four trips to Baltimore. The favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings. The Colts are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games versus the AFC and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog. The Ravens are 4-0 ATS in their last four games in December and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six home games.
