NFL Week 14 Injury Report

(TheSpread) – What’s the injury status of Brett Favre and some of the other starters around the NFL this week? Read our 2010 NFL Week 14 Injury Report to find out.

Eagles’ cornerback Asante Samuel (knee) and right tackle Winston Justice (knee) have both been ruled out for Week 14. Neither of them made the trip to Dallas and both injuries could lead to a high scoring affair on Sunday night. According to NFL Week 14 odds and oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the over/under between the Eagles and Cowboys is currently sitting at 50.5 points.

The news looks promising for Giants’ receivers Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith. Both players are questionable but traveled with the team to Minnesota. Smith (pectoral) made a guarantee to reports on Friday that he would play and Nicks (leg) appears as though he will suit up, too.

Vincent Jackson (questionable, calf) made a surprise return to practice on Thursday and then fully participated in practice for the Chargers again on Friday. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, Philip Rivers should have his No. 1 target for their big divisional game against the Chiefs on Sunday.

Bad news for the Vikings as it appears as though Percy Harvin won’t play. He’s been battling migraines and has been listed as “doubtful” for Minnesota’s game against the Giants. Brett Favre also appears to be heading for a game-time decision and if he can’t go, Tarvaris Jackson will start in his place. The Giants are 14-4 against the spread in road games against NFC North division opponents since 1992 according to latest NFL trends.

Matt Cassel is doubtful for the Chiefs’ game against the Chargers. He had an appendectomy earlier in the week and more than likely won’t play. That means Brodie Croyle will see his first game action since Week 13 of last season.

Bucs’ rookie receiver Mike Williams (knee) returned to practice on Friday and has been listed as probable on Tampa’s injury report for Week 14. The Bucs will take on the Redskins, where they are 1-point road favorites.
