NFL Week 12 Line Movements
The Atlanta Falcons host the Green Bay Packers in the NFL Game of the Week. Which way is the line moving in that big game, as well as all games in Week 12? Read our 2010 NFL Week 12 Line Movements Report to find out.
According to Week 12 NFL odds and oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the Texans are 6-point favorites over the Titans in Week 12. The line opened at 6.5, dropped to 6 earlier in the week and it hasn’t moved since.
The Giants opened as 9.5-point favorites over the Jaguars, but the public/sharps have pushed the line all the way down to 7. David Garrard and the upstart Jags have won their last three games in a row and are facing a struggling Eli Manning and the Giants – thus the public backing.
Matt Ryan has lost only one game in his career at the Georgia Dome but his Falcons face a tough assignment in Week 12. Atlanta opened as a 1.5-point favorite over the Packers and while the line is 2 at some places, it’s 1 at most books. According to latest NFL trends, the underdog is 5-0 against the number in the last five meetings between these two teams and the road team is 5-0 as well.
The Redskins opened as 2.5-point favorites over the Vikings but apparently the public believes that Minnesota will play better without Brad Childress (fired on Monday), because the line is now Washington +2. According to latest NFL public betting information, 58% of the 31,813 wagers on today’s game have been placed on the Vikings.
The Steelers opened as 6-point favorites against the Bills and while that line has stayed at 6 at some books, others have the point spread up to a touchdown. The over/under total for this game is currently 43.5 points after opening at 42.
The Browns opened as 10-point favorites over the hapless Panthers but the line has dropped to 9.5 at some books. Colt McCoy won’t play due to a high ankle sprain, which means Jake Delhomme will get the start.
The Seahawks opened as 1-point home underdogs against the upstart Chiefs and the line has consistently gone up since there. It reached 1.5 at some books midweek and is now 2.5 online at some places.
The Raiders opened as 2-point favorites over the depleted Dolphins, although the line is now up to 2.5 at some books. Other books have Oakland as 1-point favorites, while others have set the line as high as a field goal.
The Broncos opened as 4-point favorites over the Rams and that’s where the line currently sits at some books. Other books have it as low as 3.5, but it’s consistently over a field goal.
The Ravens opened as 9-point favorites over the Buccaneers but that line has dropped way down. It fell to 8 midweek but now it’s as low as 7.5. It probably should stay at 7.5 but if anyone wants Tampa, now might be the time to jump on them to be safe.
Despite having the same record as the Eagles, the Bears find themselves as 3-point home underdogs against Michael Vick and Philadelphia this afternoon. And at some books the line opened at 3.5 and has stayed there.
The Sunday night game opened at 3, but now the Colts are only 2.5-point favorites over the Chargers. At some books, the line is even as low as 1, so obviously the public is buying San Diego’s resurgence over the last three weeks.
In what could be the worst Monday Night Football matchup of the year, the Cardinals opened as 1.5-point home underdogs to the 49ers but the line has since dropped to 1. The over/under total is currently 40 points after opening at 39.5.
