NFL Week 11 Injury Report

What’s the injury status of Brett Favre, Reggie Bush and Troy Polamalu this Sunday? Continue reading for our 2010 NFL Week 11 Injury Report.

As usual, Brett Favre finds himself on a NFL injury report. And as usual, he was limited in practice this week but he should be able to play. Check that – there’s no way he’s missing Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Count him in.

Reggie Bush was able to practice this week for the New Orleans Saints and it look as though their offense will get some of their explosiveness back. He was limited in practice this week, but should play.

The Carolina Panthers have ruled out running backs Jonathan Stewart (concussion) and Tyrell Sutton (ankle), as well as quarterback Jimmy Claussen (concussion) and receiver Brandon LaFell (concussion) for their game this week against the Baltimore Ravens. Brian St. Pierre will start for Claussen.

Jahvid Best (turf toe) was able to practice for the Detroit Lions on Friday and should be able to start against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Kevin Smith (thumb), however, is out this week.

There appears to be conflicting reports on whether or not Tampa Bay Bucs’ rookie receiver Mike Williams will start against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday. Williams was arrested for DUI on Friday and the team has yet to announce whether or not he’ll be in uniform when the Bucs travel West this weekend.

San Diego Chargers’ tight end Antonio Gates is unsure about whether or not he’ll play on Monday night against the Broncos. He missed practice Thursday with a foot injury and he’s not sure if the injury will allow him to run the way he wants. In other Charger injury news, rookie running back Ryan Mathews (ankle) missed practice on Thursday but he’s optimistic that he’ll play on Monday.

Oakland Raiders’ coach Tom Cable is encouraged by Zach Miller’s foot injury and says the tight end is on track to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (ankle) was limited in practice but he may be available as well.

It appears as though Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts will have receiver Austin Collie (concussion) available this Sunday against the New England Patriots. Collie practiced late in the week and should be able to play. According to latest NFL odds, oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Colts a 4-point underdog.

While he was limited, Houston Texans’ quarterback Matt Schaub (knee) did practice and should start against the New York Jets on Sunday. Tight end Owen Daniels (hamstring), however, was unable to practice and will likely be unavailable.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ safety Troy Polamalu is dealing with a strained right Achillies tendon and it’s uncertain whether or not he’ll be healthy enough to play against the Raiders this week. He was unable to practice.
