SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) – A year ago, the Fiesta Bowl had trouble filling the seats at University of Phoenix Stadium.
That shouldn’t be a problem this year.
With explosive offenses and dynamic quarterbacks, Oklahoma State and Stanford are creating a buzz unlike any for a bowl outside of the BCS championship game.
Stanford’s fans gobbled up the school’s allotment in a matter of days, and the Cowboys faithful were only a little slower on the trigger for the Jan. 2 game.
A few thousand tickets are left from the Phoenix market pool – ticket sales are usually down the year after a city hosts the national title game – but those are expected to go quickly as fans from the two teams learn they’re available.
