According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Memphis is the clear favorite at home, as the Tigers are getting odds of -10 points against Temple. Memphis is coming off its first loss of the season, 48-28 to Ole Miss last weekend. The Tigers are 3-1 overall and 2-2 against the spread as they get set to begin AAC play. The Tigers have been pretty strong on both sides of the ball thus far, posting 45.8 points and 477 yards per game on offense while keeping opponents to just 18.8 points and 371.3 yards per game. Riley Ferguson is leading the offense with 1,186 yards and 11 touchdowns, but also has five interceptions. Doroland Dorceus and Patrick Taylor Jr. have combined for 489 rushing yards and five scores as well.

Bet on Temple vs. Memphis

Temple is coming off a 45-20 win over SMU. The Owls are now 3-2 on the season, 1-0 in the AAC and 4-1 against the spread. Temple has now covered in four straight games. Temple has been a grinding team thus far, holding opponents to just 20.4 points and 319.4 yards per game. On offense, the Owls are being held to just 350.2 yards per game yet posting 34.2 points per contest. Memphis clearly has the better offense, but Temple may be stronger on defense. However, the Owls have been suspect at stopping the run, giving up 162.8 yards per game. The Tigers like to air it out, but still have a formidable rushing attack. The Memphis defense should be excited here as well, as Walker has been a bit of a turnover machine. If Memphis can slow down Temple’s run game, they can force Walker into tough situations, which should lead to turnovers. Memphis can capitalize with a short field and then make an easy cover. My pick goes with Memphis
