Sarkisian and USC hosted a Salute to Troy event on Saturday, but the Trojans’ head coach was reported to be intoxicated while using foul language and addressing other programs in a negative light. The coach was then approached by USC AD Pat Haden about his behavior.

β€œI sincerely apologize to my players and staff and to our fans for my behavior and my inappropriate language at our kickoff event Saturday night,” Sarkisian said in a statement released via the school’s sports blog Sunday morning. β€œI have a responsibility to all of them and I let them down. Pat Haden talked to me after the event about my actions and I assured him this will not happen again.”

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, USC is currently listed with +1600 odds to win the College Football Playoffs this season. Ohio State is a +260 favorite while Alabama and TCU each have +650 odds. The Trojans open the season as a 29-point favorite at home against Arkansas State on Sept. 5 at 11PM ET. The over/under total for the game has been listed at 67 points.
