Quarterback Johnny Manziel went 28 of 39 passing for 464 yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions. Manziel also rushed for 98 yards on 14 carries. SMU didn’t play last week and is coming off a 31-30 win over Montana State two weeks ago. The Mustangs aren’t looking to impressive defensively thus far, giving up 35.5 points per game. The offense has moved the ball, averaging 475.5 yards per game, but SMU has just 27 points per game to show for it. Quarterback Garrett Gilbert has thrown for 705 yards and a touchdown this season while receivers Jeremy Johnson and Darius Joseph have combined for 42 receptions for 459 yards.
