Nebraska went 10-4 last season with a defense that allowed just 10.4 points per-game and had 44 sacks. This season, the Cornhuskers have to replace five starters on defense, including Ndamukong Suh, who led the Huskers in tackles and sacks. Nebraska still has arguably the top defensive back in the nation in Prince Amukamara, who had 11 pass break ups and five interceptions in 2009. The Nebraska offense averaged just 25.1 points and 323 yards per-game, but returns nine starters, including running back Roy Helu (1,147 yards) and Zac Lee at quarterback (2,143 yards/14 TD).
Western Kentucky was winless in 2009 and is still in just its fourth season as a FBS program. The Hilltoppers allowed 39.6 points and 478 yards per-game on defense while scoring 20.4 points per-game offensively. WKU returns 19 starters, including their leading passer, rusher, and tackler from 2009.
