Wooldridge probable for bowl game

Ben Wooldridge (collarbone) is probable for Louisiana-Lafayette’s bowl game Saturday against TCU, Kevin Foote of The Baton Rouge Advocate reports. Wooldridge required at least four weeks to recover from the late-November collarbone injury he suffered. Fast forward to more than four months later, and he is on track for his first game since Week 12 in a conference game against South Alabama.

Bech declares for NFL Draft

Jack Bech (knee) has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Bech’s season is already over due to a knee injury despite the fact that TCU has a bowl game on Dec. 28 against Louisiana-Lafayette. The wideout is confident he’ll garner at least some kind of interest at the next level after a 2024 season in which he recorded 62 catches for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns.

Louisiana vs. TCU Prediction

Take Louisiana. The Ragin’ Cajuns laid an egg versus Marshall in the Sun Belt Conference Championship but they should be motivated to finish on the season on a high note. They played lesser competition than TCU, but Louisiana still finished with a 10-3 record, covering in seven out of those 13 matchups.

Is TCU any good? The Horned Frogs beat Cincinnati, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas and a banged-up Utah squad in conference play this season. They also lost to Baylor, Houston and was hammered by SMU. I’m just not sure they should be favored by 10 over any opponent, especially not one that played for a conference championship.
