The Spartans opened as 11-point favorites over the Nittany Lions for today’s Big Ten matchup but according to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, Michigan State is now just a 7-point favorite. Early Saturday morning, MSU was a 9.5-point favorite so perhaps this is an indication that Cook (shoulder) won’t play.

Michigan State listed Cook and Tyler O’Connor as co-starters earlier this week and coach Mark Dantonio noted that COok would be a game-time decision on Tuesday. It would appear as though O’Connor, who helped the Spartans upset the Buckeyes last Saturday as a 14.5-point underdog.

The favorite is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams but the road team is 5-2 at the betting window in the last seven meetings. The over has also cashed big in this matchup, going 12-3-1 in the last 16 meetings overall and 5-1-1 in the last seven meetings in East Lansing.
