Beavers try to turn things around vs. Cougs
Coming off a 41-17 loss at No. 4 Washington, Oregon State’s hosting the second-hottest squad in the Pac-12 at the worst possible time.
The Beavers will try to keep pace with Washington State tonight in a showdown at Reser Stadium. Online sports book BetDSI opened the Cougars as 15.5-point favorites to down Gary Andersen’s group. The over/under is 57.
After dropping its first two games of the campaign by a combined six points, Wazzu has absolutely caught fire in October. Mike Leach’s team ranks 15th nationally with 40.4 points per contest. Quarterback Luke Falk, who terrorized Oregon State in the 2015 meeting between the two schools, heads the attack. Only three FBS signal-callers average more passing yards per tilt than the junior’s 358.7.
This fall, however, Washington State’s far from a one-dimensional outfit. Jamal Morrow picks up yardage in chunks on the ground, in addition to leaking out of the backfield for a bevy of catches. His diverse skill set essentially gives Falk a quartet of superior receiving threats.

Meanwhile, the Beavers must devise a way to start faster. They’ve been outscored by a 90-23 margin in the first half of league affairs. We’ll bank on Andersen’s troops to put additional points on the board here, but in the end, Wazzu won’t accept a letdown on the road.
