APPALACHIAN STATE: Quarterback Taylor Lamb is heading home this weekend. The four-year starter is a native of Calhoun, playing a key role in beating Buford 27-24 in the 2011 GHSA AA state championship. โ€œIโ€™m sure he has a chip on his shoulder and showed he couldโ€™ve played here,โ€ Georgia senior defensive back Aaron Davis said. โ€œI expect him to go out and try to have the best game of his career.โ€

GEORGIA: Head coach Kirby Smart said that he has no specific plans to get freshman signal-caller Jake Fromm into Saturday’s opener. Fromm will have to wait his turn as Jacob Eason is set to start again this season after playing as a freshman a year ago. Of course, no matter who is under center, the Bulldogs offense will run through running back Nick Chubb.
