Sooners needing win over Cowboys
NORMAN, OK (The Spread) – No. 18 Oklahoma hasn’t had a successful season in its own eyes, but a loss to in-state rival Oklahoma State would make it even worse.

The Sooners had playoff hopes dashed a few weeks ago in a loss to Baylor, but they have bounced back with double-digit wins over Kansas and Texas Tech since. They come into Saturday’s game just 5-6 against the spread, but have won nine of their last 10 against the Cowboys.
Oddsmakers see Oklahoma as the clear favorite to tack on another win over Oklahoma State on Saturday at 3:30PM ET on Fox Sports 1, as oddsmakers from BetDSI, have made the Sooners a 20-point favorite against the Cowboys (View Matchup). The over/under total for the game is listed at 59.5 points.
Oklahoma State hasn’t had much to cheer about this year either. Injuries have created issues all season and the Cowboys have now lost five straight, all by at least 21 points. State is just 4-7 against the spread this season, but they have covered in two of their last three against the Sooners.
For Oklahoma State to cover, or potentially pull off an upset win, the Cowboys will have to slow down the Sooners’ run game, which ranks ninth in the nation, averaging 265.4 yards per game on the ground. Running back Samaje Perine has rushed for 1,428 yards and 19 scores this season for Oklahoma and is coming off a NCAA record 427-yard performance against Kansas two weeks ago.
