Belk Bowl Breakdown
Dak Prescott looks to have a strong final game with Mississippi State when the Bulldogs take on N.C. State in the Belk Bowl at 3:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Mississippi State is favored in this game, as the Bulldogs are getting odds of -6 points against N.C. State. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 60.5 points. These two meet today at 3:30PM ET on ESPN. The game will be played from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
Prescott is the 6-2, 230-pound senior quarterback for Mississippi State (8-4, 7-5 ATS). He has had a pretty solid season, throwing for 3,413 yards and 25 touchdowns while rushing for 541 yards and 10 scores. Today he leads the Bulldogs against N.C. State (7-5, 6-6 ATS) and the Wolfpack’s solid defense that ranks 19th in total yards allowed (332.5 ypg).
Oddsmakers have listed Prescott’s over/under for passing yards at 312.5 today and his rushing yards at 53.5. The passing total seems a bit lofty considering he has done that just four times this season and N.C. State is giving up just 188.5 passing yards per game. When it comes to the rushing total, Prescott has had at least 54 yards in five games. In N.C. State’s last game, it lost to UNC and allowed Marquise Williams to run for 53 yards, but held him to 174 passing yards. However, in a loss to Clemson earlier this year, the Wolfpack gave up 383 passing yards and 54 rushing yards to Clemson QB Deshaun Watson.
