Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma St. Odds
No. 5 Oklahoma will have a lot of eyes on them tonight as they play for their playoff lives on the road against No. 9 Oklahoma State in Bedlam at 8PM ET.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Oklahoma is a favorite on the road in this game, as the Sooners are getting odds of -7 points against Oklahoma State. The over/under total for the game has been set at 68 points. These two meet tonight at 8PM ET on ABC.
The Sooners are riding a 6-game winning streak to get to 10-1 on the season and 7-1 in the Big 12. They were slotted at No. 3 in the latest playoff rankings despite having a loss to Texas this year. Conceivably, a win today against Oklahoma State could put Oklahoma in the playoffs, as the Sooners don’t have to contend with a championship game next week. Oddsmakers currently have Oklahoma at 7/1 to win the college football playoffs, which ranks third of all contending teams.
Winning today won’t be easy for the Sooners, who are 8-3 against the spread in 2015. They face an Oklahoma State team that is also 10-1 on the year and 7-1 in the Big 12. While going 6-5 against the spread, the Cowboys didn’t suffer their first loss until last week, falling to Baylor at home, 45-35. Oklahoma State is still in the playoff mix, but would likely need a blowout win for any chance.
Both teams come into this game with similar offensive numbers, as each is posting over 40 points and over 490 yards per game. However, the difference comes on defense, where Oklahoma allows just 341 yards per game while Oklahoma State gives up 420.9 yards per game. The Sooners have been strong against the pass, which could pose trouble for the Cowboys. Oklahoma State hasn’t been good at stopping the run, which could open the door for Samaje Perine, who has run for 1,160 yards and 13 scores in 2015.
