Arizona favored in Fiesta Bowl

Arizona is playing in its home state for this bowl game and is coming off a loss in the Pac-12 Championship to Oregon, but the Wildcats still went 10-3 on the season and 7-2 in the Pac-12, with all three losses this season to ranked opponents. Both teams come in with strong offensive numbers, as Boise State averages just under 500 yards per game while Arizona is posting 461.5 yards per contest. The difference on paper is the defenses. The Wildcats have allowed 448.7 yards per game this season while Boise is allowing just 366.5 yards per contest. The key will be if Boise’s defense translates to Pac-12 competition, as Arizona has faced plenty of tough offenses this year. Arizona will key in on containing Boise running back Jay Ajayi, who has rushed for 1,689 yards and 25 touchdowns this year.
