Notre Dame vs. Clemson Injuries
No. 6 Notre Dame already has a laundry list of names on its injury report, but is No. 12 Clemson also battling the injury bug heading into Saturday’s game with the Irish?
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, this game is currently at an even line, with neither team being given any points. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 54 points. These two will meet on Saturday night at 8PM ET on ABC.
Notre Dame has plenty of injuries already in 2015. The Irish lost RB Tarean Folston in the season opener to a knee injury then lost QB Malik Zaire the following week. DB Drue Tranquill then was lost for the season with a knee injury suffered while celebrating and DL Jarron Jones was lost for the season in the preseason to an MCL injury. Other injuries for Saturday include defensive back Avery Sebastian (foot) and defensive end Jay Hayes (suspension) are both questionable. Tight end Tyler Luatua (concussion) is out and receiver Corey Robinson (knee) is probable.
Clemson has some injuries to consider as well, but not as many as ND. Receiver Mike Williams is still out from the neck injury he suffered while diving into the goal post in the season opener. Offensive lineman Ryan Norton is questionable for the game with a leg injury while kicker Ammon Lakip is serving a three-game suspension. Norton is the big loss, as he is the center and started 24 games coming into 2015.
