Ball St. vs. Texas A&M Odds
After an impressive win last week, is No. 16 Texas A&M facing a letdown performance on Saturday when it hosts Ball State at 7PM ET on ESPNU.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Texas A&M is the clear favorite in this one, as the Aggies are getting odds of -29.5 points against Ball State. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 63.5 points. These two have no recent meetings, but A&M comes in just 1-6 against the spread in its last 7 home games.
Texas A&M started the season with a 38-17 win over Arizona State in Houston. The Aggies were 3-point favorites coming in and they went under the 64.5-point total. A&M hasn’t been known for defense under Kevin Sumlin, but they looked great on defense against ASU, holding the Sun Devils to just 291 total yards and 92 rushing yards. Kyle Allen threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense while Tra Carson had 96 rushing yards and one score. Christian Kirk added six receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown.
Ball State started the year with a 48-36 win over VMI. The Cardinals were actually a 34-point favorite to win, but they did hit the over of 64.5 points. The two teams had a shootout, with Ball State finishing with 567 yards of offense while allowing 547 yards to VMI. Jack Milas threw for 338 yards and one touchdown to lead the offense while Teddy Washington and Darian Green combined for 147 rushing yards with three touchdowns. Green also caught six passes for 74 yards with a receiving touchdown.
