According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Boise State is the favorite to win the conference title, as the Broncos have odds of +110. Other short odds to win are Fresno State (+255), San Jose State (+860) and San Diego State (+975).
Boise State won the conference title last year, its first Mountain West title. The Broncos were 11-2 last year and return 10 starters from the 2012 team. Boise State has won at least 10 games the last seven seasons.
Fresno State has been in the Mountain West for one season. The Bulldogs went 9-4 last season and will return 16 starters from the 2012 team.
San Jose State is making its debut in the Mountain West this season. The Spartans were 11-2 last season, and they return 14 starters from that squad.
San Diego State won the Mountain West Championship last season, its first Mountain West title. The team went 9-4 on the season and the Aztecs return 16 starters from the 2012 team.
