Both teams come into Mondayβs bowl game at 6-6 on the year. Both teams have also split the over/under total through their 12 games. When it comes to the spread, Ohio State is 6-6 against the spread while Florida is 3-8-1. These two last met in the 2007 BCS title game with Florida winning 41-14.

Ohio State was 3-5 in the Big Ten this season and closed out the regular season with three-straight losses. The Buckeyes lost coach Jim Tressel before the season due to NCAA violations and they have since hired Urban Meyer, the former Florida coach, to take over the program following the bowl game. When it comes to this season, Ohio State struggled on offense, averaging just 25.1 points per game. The Buckeyes ranked 117th in the nation in passing at just 124.1 yards per game. Freshman quarterback Braxton Miller led the offense with 997 passing yards and 11 TDβs while rushing for 695 yards and seven scores. On defense, the Buckeyes allowed just 20.8 points per game.
Florida went 3-5 in the SEC under first-year coach Will Muschamp, who is replacing Meyer. The Gators started the year 4-0 but then closed out the season 2-6 with wins over Furman and Vanderbilt. Florida scored just 25.6 points per game this year and allowed only 20.6 points per contest. Quarterback John Brantley struggled all year for the Gators as he threw for only 1,912 yards and 10 TDβs.
In terms of Injuries, Florida cornerback Jeremy Brown and defensive tackle Dominique Easley are both doubtful to play because of knee injuries. Ohio State tight end Jake Stoneburner is questionable with a knee injury.
