According to oddsmakers from Bodog, Oregon is the favorite to win the North Division with 5/4 odds. Other shorts odds to win are Stanford (3/2), and Oregon State (5/1).

Oregon is the defending PAC-10 champion. The Ducks were unbeaten in the regular season, going 12-0 with a 9-0 conference record. The Ducks bring back 13 starters this year for third-year coach Chip Kelly. The Ducks return a strong duo in running back LaMichael James (1,731 yards, 21 TD) and quarterback Darron Thomas (2,881 yards 30 TD).

Stanford finished second in the conference last year, going 12-1 overall with a 8-1 conference record. The Cardinal lost head coach Jim Harbaugh and hired David Shaw, but they do bring back stud quarterback Andrew Luck, who threw for 3,338 yards and 32 touchdowns in 2010.

Oregon State has been a competitive team over the years, but never been able to get over the hump of winning the conference title. Last season, the Beavers were 5-7 overall and 4-5 in conference play. This season, in the 11th-year with coach Mike Riley, Oregon State returns 13 starters, including quarterback Ryan Katz. Katz threw for 2,401 yards and 18 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2010.
