Ohio State hopes to begin its run to the 2011 BCS National Championship on Thursday night as it takes on Marshall at 7:30PM ET.

Marshall is coming off a 7-6 season, including a win in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in 2009. Marshall has lost its last 10 road openers and just 1-13 against ranked opponents. Marshall has 15 starters back this season under new coach Doc Holliday. The Herd averaged 21.8 points and 349 yards per-game on offense in 2009 while allowing 24.3 points and 372 yards on defense.
