Florida at Tennessee Odds
Two weeks of a shaky offense leads to concern for betters as No. 10 Florida heads to Tennessee on Saturday at 3:30PM ET.
Game Preview:
Florida is 5-0 against Tennessee under current coach Urban Meyer, including two wins on the road. In 19 of the last 20 meetings between the two, the team with more rushing yards has won the game.
Florida is 2-0 on the year with wins over Miami (Ohio) and South Florida. The Gators got off to slow starts in both games but went on to win by at least 22 points in each game. As a whole, Florida is averaging 36 points per-game but totaling just 320 yards of offense per-game. On defense, the Gators have dominated, holding opponents to 13 points and 271 yards per-game. Florida also has two defensive touchdowns on the year. Jeffrey Demps has led the team with 237 yards rushing.
Tennessee is 1-1 on the year after losing to Oregon 48-13 last Saturday. The Volunteers were tied 13-13 at halftime, but wound up allowing 245 yards on the ground to the Ducks. Tauren Poole has rushed for 272 yards and three touchdowns on the year to lead Tennessee while Matt Simms has thrown for 332 yards and a touchdown.
