Why Kansas is a strong bet vs. Texas
Even though they’re coming off an 86-67 loss to Oklahoma State on Tuesday night, Kansas should be a good bet to rebound versus Texas on Saturday.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu, the Jayhawks are 12.5-point favorites versus the Longhorns at 2:00PM ET today on ESPN. Texas enters play with a 12-6 record and is 6-11 against the spread, while Kansas is 15-3 overall and 10-6 at the betting window.
Why lay the points on Kansas…
Because the Jayhawks are strong coming off losses. They’re 12-5 against the spread in their last 17 games following a straight up loss and 38-26-2 ATS (59.4%) since 2003 (Bill Self’s first season with the program) when coming off defeat. In those 66 games since ’03, the Jayhawks won by an average margin of 15.2 points.
Texas is also struggling to cover on the road and coming off ATS wins. The Longhorns are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall, and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win.
Texas is coming off a 56-49 upset of West Virginia and also beat Oklahoma State and Iowa State outright. The Longhorns will have Kansas’ full attention today.
